My Brother
My Brother , Listen to you Sean! I haven't posted a picture yet on Face Book! Well the reason why I never posted a picture was because I am just as slow as my brother is in getting connected with Face Book. When I first opened my account. It wasn't to much longer after I heard about it, and I still wasn't to sure about it. I just recently got back in touch with Stephanie Howe who is on Face Book as well. So I went back online to update my account so we could reconnect a little better. Then of course I was able to post a Picture. But to be quite frank with you guys. I tried to access my account earlier to update it and realized that I lost my password. So it took me a while to get that back in order, but did it. So how is everyone besides the fact that Face Book is taking over My Space. Is everyone over it all ready. Moving on with a better Website Name and set-up. I hope so cause I am sick of having to play catch up all the time. Just to stay in touch with my friends. Well in case you don't know it yet cause it's so early in the morning. Today is Wednesday! My Saturday and also LOST night. The third episode! I am so excited. I love this show. I all ways think of my brother Sean every time I watch it. Cause he is so into it. That if I call him on a commercial break to discus the show. He won't even pick up his phone, and then get upset at me for calling him during the show. Which I find Hilarious. But one of these days he will pick up and yell and scream at me for calling him during th best part, and the turn around and write a screenplay about it and then make Millions.

Welcome friends and family!!

Life in Las Vegas is not getting much sweeter. We have been dueling against the freezing temperatures everyday and night. It's funny how in the summer all we wish for is nicer temps. A little bit cooler please! But when it hits, it changes over a week or two and bam your in the winter. I've come to realize that there is really no such thing as fall in Las Vegas. It's either freezing temperatures or excruciating hot weather. But from what I heard out here. March is the month where it starts to turn around for us. March and April that is to be exact. It will start feeling more neutral outside. But I am definitely not looking forward to that nasty heat wave again, come summer.

This last week at work. We were asked to put in our shift bids for the new year. I really don't have much of a say in this, due to the fact that i was the last one hired on. But I put my two cents in anyways. Currently I have Tuesday and Wednesday off. So I requested Sunday and Monday off. So that Hopefully, if I got it that is. I could get a chance to go out to Lake Mead this year and ride on my sister & brother-n-laws new boat. Which they got last year. I would do that on my Sundays and also look into church's to attend. On my Mondays I could take care of any everyday business Aron's. The chance's of this happening are very slim though.

Work is going well. My housing situation is going great. My car maintenance on the other hand is a pain in the rear. But that's life right? It's been six months since I made my transition out here and I definitely feel like I have settled in. But now I am board and am ready for another challenge, or a part of me is thinking about moving some where Else for a year. Like maybe in the mountains some where and get a feel for that. Life is to short to sit in one place all the time, and live life repeatedly. I believe that I'm not going to find what I am looking for in life by just moving to another state. I am ready to travel around and live different life styles. Get the full experience that is. Unless I meet some one and fall in love. I'm sure my life would change then, and I would be forced to settle down for sure.

So my Question to all of you reading this is: Are we in recession? Are we going through difficult times? Or is my pay scale just to small to see any or notice any of it going on.

General Election Day 2008!!!

Do you ever stop and take a moment to think about what it would be like to live in another country? Well I don't, at least not often. About once every four years come Election Day. When you walk into your polling place to cast your vote for the next President of the United States of America. Where your voice is heard, and matters on who will be the next President to lead our country. Then I take a moment, and say to myself man I am so lucky to be an American. Think about every other country there is. What they have to live with and there country rules are much different then ours. We have so much freedom here in America. But yet life goes on and changes are made to better our country and thousands of people disagree with the choices that are made.
This morning I got up at 7:00am. Spent some time looking over my sample ballot for the state of Nevada (swing state). I filled it out and went to my polling place to cast my vote at around 8:00am. Mind you I have never gone out to vote first thing in the morning. But this Election is very important to me. Let me tell you it felt great to be out there in the windy brisk morning standing in line with a bunch of other people in there business attire. waiting so patiently to put there vote in.
For the past three months I have been undecided on who I was rooting for. So last night when I came to a conclusion. I was 100% sure on who I believed in, would be the next greatest candidate to lead our country and keep us from harms way. I am proud to say I voted for,
John McCain for President, and
Sarah Palin for Vice President.

Happy Harvest!

Another sweet but yet nice day in Las Vegas. The weather is slowly changing. Currently we are in the 70's and 80's. Nearly dipping into the 50's in the evenings.

Anyways a couple days ago I am in the local grocery store doing my weekly shopping. On my way out I decided to put a couple dollars in the video poker machine out by the exit of the market. I sit down at this nickel machine and directly behind me there is the slot machine host. Just sitting on his bum listening to a talk radio station. So I'm tuning in with him, and we had a small conversation about it. Well for awhile I thought it was a recording of Dennis Pregger. A Republican talk show host whom my brother listens to everyday. Well it turns out it's a Democratic radio station.

So I'm walking out to my car thinking man I'm so use to listening to Dennis Pregger. My older brother is so far on the right wing side. I've never really new or heard a democratic talk radio before, and yet I failed to ask what channel it was on. The old man sitting on his bun told me who it was and of course I already forgot his name.

So Election day is on the 4th of November. I don't know who I am voting for yet. But I will reveal one thing, and that is. The night when I tuned in to that Democratic radio station. I disagreed with everything the guy was talking about.

P.S. don't forget to buy some Harvest Beer this month...

Hey everyone! Life is great out here in Vegas. Besides the heat, and after awhile the desert starts to ware on you. I now understand why the locals always said they miss seeing the green environment. Because there is deffinatly a lot of dirt out here. Today I have the day off. It is my Sunday. It took me awhile to get use to that too. You know it's a 24 hour 7 days a week out here, so everyones weekends are different. Some peoples Sat. & Sun. could be Tues. & Wed. Like mine. Well anyways things are well. The Move...

So do you know when you have to do it. I mean when you need to make changes for yourself in life. It's difficult and pretty much challenging. Well I put together some goals for myself a few months back. which required moving, change of a living style and possibly job title. When I look back on how I pursued myself in achieving the goals. I would say I did a semi-formal job. In which I made the attempt to do it and change my lifestyle. I had a few interviews, and I was trying to adjust to a new environment.

Well the people who know me, know I ended up returning to my home town in Montrose. Since I've been back. I have found some part time work. That is slowly getting me by. But lately am finding out that in all the spar time I have. There are so many other things I could be doing. Like looking for other work or saving up to travel and see some new places in life, before I settle down. Considering I have nothing tiring me down. Anyways this is where I am at right now. Still trying to figure it out. Dain in real life continues!

Hi friends !!! I am currently working part time for a former employer. I was offered a position as a Bar Back in Las Vegas, but not too sure if I am going to take it, I'm sort of feeling comfortable again here in L.A. So right now I am thinking in which road or path to take. Wish me luck and keep your prayers working for me. I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Thank you for believing in me. This isn't the ultimate plan in my life, but certainly a start of understanding the journey and the long road of living a happy life. We all know what that is for our self's in our true heart. So if you understand this go with it and follow your heart.

Hello! I'm back, what I mean is I'm really back. Back in L.A. to be exact. A lot of you will ask why? And what happened? The truth is the agreement that I had with my family in Las Vegas for my living arrangements had expired. The Job market in Vegas right now is poor. A lot of businesses aren't hiring right now due to the poor economy. I'm not saying that no one is hiring, it's just that the major companies aren't hiring right now. But I did learn a lot about Sin City and how it may not be the best place for me right now. All though I am back in L.A. I have still not decided weather I am going to stay or not. I'm giving my self two weeks to make that decision. I have a couple Doctor appointments I need to attend to out here. I am working on my Financial stability right now and if my decision is to stay here in L.A. I am considering on getting a place with my brother Jon. I also feel my position as a christian in this world needs some attending to. I have spent some time with the Lord and have realized I am not as strong as I was when I was going to Church, Bible study, and leading youth camps. I know now that I really do need that to be apart of my life. Once I unite myself with him again I feel I will know more of what line of business I should be in, and I know in my heart that everything is going to work it's way out.

Did the little Green man come to visit your house yesterday. He came to our house this morning with little treats left all throughout the house. I believe it was pretty hard for him to make all his rounds yesterday due too all of those Irish Pubs he was probably hitting up. But to all of you, did any of you guys go out and pick-up a green beer yesterday? I unfortunately did not. I stayed in this year. I feel the years of my life taking it's toll on me. No that's not what really happened, but it sounded nice though. I just couldn't afford to go out, so instead I stayed home with my sisters and enjoyed a very nice glass of CAB.

Hopefully everyone reading this who lives in the West remembers to set their clocks ahead one hour for it is Day-Light-Savings Day!!! Hello everyone and well come back to Dain's Great Story. How is everyone today? Good! That's Great! I, on the other hand am still not mentally prepared for what I set fourth for myself to do. I have been lacking Mot. and been spoiled, which makes it harder, and basically I'm lost in my own foot-steps! I wish I new right off the top of my head what it really is that I want in Life. On top of that, what it really is that I have to do to get there. All I really know is that my life is in GOD'S HANDS and I have to take the first initial steps and then let him guide me through the rest. I need to remind myself everyday to have trust and faith and, to not fear what's ahead in store for my life. Which in my mind is pretty hard to do, because I'm always thinking and worrying or stressing about something. I miss you all, and love all. GOODNIGHT!!! or should I say GOOD MORNING!!!

Hey friends! Life in Vegas is no more than a burning match on top of my head. Three phrases of inspiration and thoughts that come to mind are Motivation, Positive Thinking, and of course That Summer Heat Wave that's on it's way. What will Life everyday be like in the summer? Especially if I have to work in it. I've been yearning for a career and residency everyday, but yet at the same time I see myself not trying hard as I would see others in my place doing the same thing.

Hi guys, I've been trying to relax and not stress to hard. Considering I'm departing California on Tuesday morning. Reality is starting it set in. Time to really get to work! It's so weird to make decisions and changes for yourself in life, and when that day comes to act on those promises you set fourth for yourself. Life gets a little worry some and stress starts taking a toll on your body. Which can't be good for you. But other than that I'm going to get some sleep. Wish me luck!

Hello all! I'm sorry i've been out of the loop for awhile.

Have you ever woke up in the morning and thought to yourself, ? Man I can't take my life anymore, I'm ready for a change. Not that in sense at that time in my life I wasn't giving up, but I definately had to take a pause for a minute and take a good look at myself and figure out what kind of changes I wanted to make for myself.

So! Basicly this last month I have been working on those changes in my life. I went after what my heart was telling me to do, and I truly believe it. I Decided to move to Las Vegas. I know what you are all going to say! Vegas, Why Vegas! City of Sin! I looked at the benefits, and the negatives it had. Trust me I did take a long hard look at all the negatives. Therefore I decided it fit my profile to move here, because there are a lot of different goals out there I need to work on. So I see it as a good place to over come a lot of those fears that I have. Let alone I like the recreational part that Vegas has to offer. "The Lake Baby".

Now I have been working on establishing myself out there in beautiful Summerlin. I have one interview lined up all ready and am very excited about. But lately i've been working on just that, trying to get my resume's out and find the work. Then my next goal is to find a place to live. My own place! I have never lived on my own before and yes these are one of my goals I have been working on, can't you tell. I'm in LA. right now working on getting my belongings together and leaving my old job behind and moving forward. So until next time, please hang in there for me to write more new exciting details in my blog, and Truly be honest to yourself and Simply Never Give Up!!!

Hello Friends!! Still chilling in Vegas. I just brought in the New year with my friends who drove and flew out here from L.A. to hang with me. It was tons of fun!! Now I'm putting away the x-mas gear and am getting ready to move forward with my Life in 2008!!! I can't wait to see how this year turns out for me. Hey everyone! Sorry I've been out of the loop this month of December. Thanks for not giving up on coming back to read my Blog. Especially a good friend of mine that said he wouldn't give up on waiting to read my next Blog. But unfortunately I have to make this one short.

I've been out in Las Vegas now for a short while of about four days, and have been getting ready to celebrate the New Year with some friends of mine. As far as my physical condition is concerned, I am still in a healing state of mind. I was unable to return to work last week due to ankle and back Pains, and will now spend some more time on vacation while I have the time. Currently exercising my ankle everyday (physical therapy). I had a great X-mas this year, which is good. Because I needed it to make up for all the disasters and pain I went through this year. Now I'm looking forward to ring in the New year in Las Vegas!!! Thanks for checking in and I hope you all have a Happy New Year! ! !

Finals

Ah yes, Finals are here. Time to finish up my first semester back to school. It's been a while! Since I can't really remember the last time I had to study for Finals. But it's time to finish up the semester and head back to work for the Holiday's. I've been out of work do to an ankle injury back in September. I've been working on getting my foot back into shape, so I can get back in the groove of things again. One more week of relaxation left before I head back into the grind of things again at the good old Flower Shop. Oh and before I forget, remember today is Pearl Harbor Day and to take a moment to remember the lives that were lost on this day in 1941.
